Ensure Maximum Farmer Registration to Avail Benefits of Schemes

Sriganganagar, A review meeting of the Farmer Registry Campaign, initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Manju.

During the virtual meeting, the District Collector instructed all sub-divisional officers to review the ongoing Farmer Registry Camps in their respective areas and ensure the maximum number of farmers are registered to benefit from both central and state government schemes.

After assessing the progress of the camps so far, the District Collector emphasized the need for regular inspections by sub-divisional officers to maximize farmer registrations. She also directed immediate resolution of any issues arising during the process. Along with generating unique Farmer IDs, the farmers should also be linked to various departmental schemes. Officials from all concerned departments must remain present at the camps to inform farmers about schemes and facilitate their registration.

Additionally, the District Collector reviewed law and order and instructed sub-divisional officers to address regional issues promptly for public relief. As per the state government’s directives, public grievances should be resolved effectively and sensitively. Instructions were also given to prepare proposals for the reorganization of panchayats and wards following due procedures. Reports on crop damage cases and vacant positions of elected representatives, including Panch, Sarpanch, and members, should be submitted without delay.

The meeting was attended by ADM (Administration) Shri Subhash Kumar, ADM (Vigilance) Smt. Reena, SDM Ganganagar Shri Ranjit Kumar, Tehsildar Shri Subhash Kumar, and other officials, while sub-divisional officers and tehsildars from different parts of the district joined virtually.
