Successful Conclusion of National Faculty Development Program

Bhilwara – The 5-day National Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled "Integrating Indian Knowledge Traditions into Modern Education: A Perspective on NEP-2020," organized by Sangam University, Bhilwara, concluded on 20th December 2024. The program, which took place from 16th to 20th December, was attended by educators, researchers, and intellectuals from across the country. It was conducted under the guidance of the All India University Academic and Administrative Development Centre, with the aim of understanding and integrating ancient Indian knowledge traditions into modern education.

Professor Preeti Mehta, Director, shared that the program consisted of 10 sessions held over the five days, led by distinguished experts from various fields. The sessions covered diverse aspects of management, humanities, medical sciences, and science & technology. Key speakers included Prof. Karunesh Saxena, Prof. Kashmir Bhatt (MLB Government College, Bhilwara), Prof. P.M. Mishra (Retired Professor, Devi Ahilya University, Indore), Prof. Rashmi Saxena (Government PG College, Kherwada), Shri Anil Saxena (Senior Literary Figure & Journalist), Dr. Surendra Pipliwal (Senior Consultant, Jimmy Dhanwantri Hospital, Kankroli), and Prof. Ashok Kumar Gupta (Retired Principal, Government Girls College, Kota), all emphasizing the contribution and application of Indian knowledge systems in modern education.

During the closing ceremony, Chief Guest Prof. Ramesh Sharda (Spears School of Business, Oklahoma State University, USA) remarked, "Indian knowledge traditions, being an integral part of our rich history, can provide a new direction for the modern education system." The program was chaired by Prof. Arun Kumar (Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Allahabad University), who stressed the importance of balancing Indian traditions with modern education. Dr. S.N. Modani, Vice Chairman of Sangam Group, also shared his views on the significance of Vedic culture in an individual’s life.

Sangam University’sVice  Chancellor, Prof. Karunesh Saxena, and Registrar Prof. Rajeev Mehta expressed their joy over the success of the program and congratulated all participants and organizers. They mentioned, "This initiative will inject new energy into the Indian education system and open up new opportunities for teachers."

Participants shared that the program was both inspiring and enriching. Certificates were distributed to the participants during the closing session. In the end, Prof. Manas Ranjan (Pro-Vice Chancellor) thanked all those who contributed to making the event a success. This program has proven to be a significant step toward giving Indian education global recognition. The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Seema Kabra and Dr. Shweta Bohra.
