### Workshop on Stress Management for MBBS Students During World Mental Health Week

Udaipur,  As part of the World Mental Health Week celebrations, a workshop on stress management and coping strategies was organized today for MBBS students at Pacific Medical University. The event was jointly conducted by the Departments of Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology at Pacific Medical College and Hospital.

The workshop was inaugurated by Pacific University President Dr. M.M. Mangal, Dr. Sangeeta Chauhan, Dr. Neeta Sahi, Dr. Ritu Bhatnagar, and Dr. S.G. Mehta with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Dr. S.G. Mehta of the Psychiatry Department emphasized the growing mental health challenges in the medical profession, particularly highlighting the importance of stress management during the journey of becoming a doctor.

Dr. Deepak Kumar Salvi from the Clinical Psychology Department introduced the students to mindfulness practices, explaining how staying present and practicing mental clarity in daily life can help reduce stress. MPhil trainees also gave an interactive presentation, discussing the types of stress, its physical and mental impacts, and effective stress management techniques. 

The workshop ended with a collective pledge by the participants to stay away from substance abuse and maintain a healthy lifestyle, underscoring the significance of mental well-being in their future medical careers.
