### Dr. R.L. Soni Assumes Charge as Director of Extension Education

Dr. R.L. Soni has officially taken over as the Director of the Directorate of Extension Education at Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology. Throughout his career, Dr. Soni has been dedicated to enhancing agriculture and uplifting farmers. Under his leadership, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in Banswara received the prestigious Excellent Center award twice and was rated 'A' by the NITI Aayog for its outstanding contributions. 

Dr. Soni has also played a pivotal role in establishing the facilities at the Vallabhnagar KVK, including its building, farmer house, and demonstration units. He is committed to connecting farmers with scientific and technological advancements to boost productivity and profitability in agriculture. His focus has been on transferring innovative agricultural techniques to farmers, particularly among Scheduled Caste and Tribal communities in southern Rajasthan, enhancing their income through suitable agricultural practices.

Now, as he takes charge at the Directorate of Extension Education, Dr. Soni is dedicated to the comprehensive development of all KVKs. He emphasizes increasing farmers' incomes and improving their understanding of agricultural technologies by leveraging IT and AI innovations. Additionally, he aims to reduce agricultural costs by promoting mechanization and the use of solar energy in farming practices.
