Under the joint initiative of the National Agriculture Development Scheme, Agriculture Department, Jaipur, and the All India Women in Agriculture Research Project, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, 150 women members from Jhadol and Phalasia, along with 75 women members from Gudli and Loyra, received vocational training in traditional Bandhani art along with various agricultural enterprises.

Over the past month, women received practical training in mushroom farming, vermicompost, goat rearing, and poultry farming. Project Coordinator Dr. Vishakha Bansal stated that from 2025 to 2027, 150 women from Jhadol and Phalasia will be organized into self-help groups and trained to establish self-employment ventures. So far, 10 self-help groups have been formed, connected to banks, and provided with basic training.

In 2026, continuous follow-up training and technical guidance will be provided to encourage women towards self-employment. Additionally, they will receive 20 units of Pratapdhan poultry chicks, 3 Sirohi breed goats, 30 mushroom production units, and 30 vermicompost units as incentives to help them establish independent businesses.

Given the growing popularity of Bandhani art, a two-day practical workshop was organized on March 24-25 at the Research Directorate, conducted by renowned trainers Yakub Mohammad Multani and Anjum Ara, accredited by CCRT (Centre for Cultural Resources and Training, Government of India). A total of 30 women from Jhadol actively participated in the training.

The training program was supported by Kartik Salvi, Pramod Kumar, Dr. Vandana Joshi, Dr. Kusum Sharma, and Anushka Tiwari.
