Udaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred ₹22,500 crore to the accounts of 9.7 crore farmers as the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. On this occasion, Lok Sabha MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat watched the live broadcast of the event at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra and addressed 174 farmers and officials. He emphasized that several central and state government schemes are available for farmers, and they should avail of them as per their needs. He also directed officials to implement Bamboo Mission projects in the Mewar region.
Additional Director of Agriculture, Dr. Niranjan Singh Rathore, encouraged farmers to promote horticulture. Joint Director (Agriculture Extension), Dr. Sudhir Verma, briefed farmers on state government schemes and informed the MP about the challenges faced due to smaller landholdings. Senior Scientist and Head of Vidya Bhawan Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dr. P.C. Bhatnagar, highlighted the center’s initiatives and stressed increasing seed replacement rates to enhance farmers’ income. He also emphasized integrating goat farming with agriculture as a major livelihood source.
Social worker Deepak Sharma urged farmers to maximize the benefits of agricultural schemes. The event saw the presence of Zila Parishad member Dr. Pushpa Sharma, Abhishek Purohit, Managing Director of Central Cooperative Bank, and Lokesh Joshi, Deputy Registrar. Ten farmers were honored for their outstanding contributions. The program was conducted by Agrineer Hasmukh Kumar and concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Deepak Jain.
