MP Dr. Rawat Advocates for Transport Facilities in Parliament

 Udaipur Lok Sabha MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat urged the Central Government to provide special financial assistance for the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) to expand road transport facilities in the state.

During the parliamentary session, MP Dr. Rawat, under Rule 377, highlighted that the Road Transport Corporation Act, 1950, led to the establishment of public transport corporations in most states. The objective was to enhance road transport, benefit trade and industry, ensure traffic coordination, and develop an efficient and economical transport system. Rajasthan established RSRTC in 1964 with the same vision.

He urged the Central Government to grant special financial assistance to Rajasthan under Article 275(1) of the Constitution or the Motor Vehicles Act, 1989, to ensure the continuation of affordable and efficient bus services for public welfare.
