Udaipur. BJP National Organizer V. Satish stated that the Parliamentary Cluster Development Project, conceptualized by the BJP, aims to empower tribal regions long neglected since independence by promoting local resources, local talent, and local markets. This initiative is expected to curb migration from tribal areas by creating employment through the utilization of natural village resources.
Speaking as the chief guest at the launch ceremony held at Bappa Rawal Auditorium, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, V. Satish highlighted that post-independence, both colonial rule and Congress governments propagated misleading notions about tribal communities—labeling them uneducated and sidelining them from mainstream development. He emphasized that plans under Congress regimes were made in Delhi, disconnected from ground realities, whereas under Modi's leadership, schemes are designed based on real experiences from the grassroots.
He appreciated the dedicated efforts made by MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat and suggested short-term and long-term action plans for the success of the project. He called for accountability from both officers and public representatives and urged villagers in selected clusters to actively participate in reshaping their communities.
Tribal Development Minister Babulal Kharadi emphasized that employment opportunities would now be generated at the local level, thereby stopping migration. He also called for effective use of CSR funds from private companies and cited Gujarat’s progress in dairy development as an example of local-level efforts.
MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat, the event organizer, presented a detailed project plan through a presentation. Two clusters in the Udaipur parliamentary constituency have been selected—Rana Punja Sankul covering Dewas and Jhadol blocks of Udaipur, and Maharana Pratap Sankul in Chawand, Salumber. Developmental activities in these clusters will include natural and modern agriculture, forest-based products, livestock rearing, skill development, fisheries, irrigation, and watershed development to improve livelihoods.
Rajya Sabha MP Chunni Lal Garasiya described the project as a milestone for tribal development and informed that a similar launch is expected soon in the Dungarpur-Banswara constituency.
BJP Rural District President Pushkar Teli welcomed the guests, while City President Gajpal Singh Rathore delivered the vote of thanks. BJP General Secretary Deepak Sharma introduced the dignitaries. Also present were former city president Ravindra Shrimali, former rural president Chandragupt Singh, Banshilal Khatik, cooperative cell coordinator Pramod Samar, and other prominent figures.
Special felicitation was given to individuals for their exceptional contributions—Thawarchand Damor, Radhika Laddha, Omprakash, C.B. Meena, Amarsingh Meena, Thawarchand, and Prem Chaubisa.
