MP Rawat Demands Night Flights and International Services from Udaipur Airport in Lok Sabha

Udaipur: Member of Parliament Dr. Mannalal Rawat urged the government in the Lok Sabha on Friday to introduce regular night flight services and allow special aircraft operations at Udaipur Airport during nighttime. Additionally, he demanded the commencement of regular international flights.

Speaking under Rule 377, Dr. Rawat emphasized that Udaipur, renowned as the City of Lakes, is a globally recognized tourist destination with an exemplary heritage, culture, and historical significance. In recent years, the city has emerged as a prime wedding destination, attracting numerous celebrities and visitors from across the world.

Dr. Rawat pointed out that currently, Maharana Pratap Airport operates only in two shifts—morning and evening—while scheduled and private flights are not permitted at night due to DGCA restrictions, despite the airport having complete infrastructure to support night operations. This limitation is causing inconvenience to thousands of travelers and tourists.

He urged the government to approve regular night flight services and special aircraft operations at Udaipur Airport. Additionally, he called for the introduction of regular international flights to enhance convenience for foreign tourists.
