IG Honours 4 with Distinguished, 15 with Meritorious Service Medals

Udaipur, . Police Range IG Rajesh Meena presented medals to 19 police officers and personnel in a ceremony held at the Police Line Conference Hall on Tuesday. The awards included Distinguished and Meritorious Service Medals announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, along with the DGP's Commendation Certificate.

IG Meena congratulated the awardees, emphasizing that these medals recognize their dedication and exceptional service beyond the call of duty. He encouraged them to continue their diligent work with the same enthusiasm. SP Yogesh Goyal extended his congratulations, urging all officers to uphold the pride of the police force.

The ceremony recognized 19 officers, including ASP (ACB) Anant Kumar and Inspector Himanshu Singh Rajawat. Among them, 4 were awarded the Distinguished Service Medal, while 15 received the Meritorious Service Medal.

Special Recognition for Himanshu Singh

Inspector Himanshu Singh Rajawat was specially honored for his pivotal role in solving the sensational Kripal Jagina murder case in Bharatpur. Within just three days, he tracked five wanted criminals over 4,000 kilometers, leading to their arrest after a dramatic encounter between Goa and Kolhapur. His commendable efforts in solving blind murders, dacoity, robbery, and burglary cases also contributed to this recognition.

The ceremony acknowledged the dedication and service of the awardees, encouraging them to continue their exceptional contributions to law enforcement.
