Udaipur,– The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with grandeur at Maharana Bhupal Stadium in Udaipur, marking a state-level event after a decade. Governor Shri Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde hoisted the national flag, inspected the parade, and awarded distinguished officers. Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma graced the occasion as the guest of honor.
The ceremony began at 9:30 AM with the Governor’s arrival, followed by the flag hoisting and inspection of 16 parade contingents, including police, RAC, and Home Guards. Awards were presented to outstanding officers, including ADG Shri Sachin Mittal and Shri S. Sengathir, for their exceptional service.
Diverse Performances and Daring Displays Captivate
Cultural performances, organized by the Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Academy, celebrated India’s unity in diversity with dances like Ghoomar, Chhau, and Mayur. A thrilling horse-riding show by DSP Jitendra Singh and his team displayed precision, courage, and skill, leaving the audience spellbound.
Tableaux Showcase Rajasthan’s Growth and Legacy
The event featured vibrant tableaux highlighting Rajasthan’s cultural heritage and development initiatives. Themes included:
Industries Department: “Rising Rajasthan” showcasing employment opportunities.
Health Department: “TB Hares, Nation Wins” campaign.
Tourism Department: Promoting "Padharo Mhare Desh."
District-specific tableaux celebrated unique features, from Jaipur’s Panch Gaurav to Udaipur’s status as a wedding destination.
The celebration concluded with the national anthem, reflecting the spirit of Rajasthan’s vibrant culture and progress.
