Students Take Oath as Water Monitors, Learn Tips on De-addiction

 

A special program was held at the Bhopalpura Girls' School (Govt. Senior Secondary School) where Udaipur’s Water Hero, Dr. P.C. Jain, inspired students to take charge of water conservation and spread awareness about de-addiction.

Water Monitors Appointed:
Dr. Jain administered the oath of Water Monitors to selected students, encouraging them to ensure proper maintenance of rainwater harvesting systems and taps installed at the school by Shri Hasti Mal Bapna Charitable Trust. He also guided them on saving water at home, sharing innovative techniques like using coconut husks in pots to retain water.

Awareness on De-addiction:
In the second session, Dr. Jain discussed the growing issue of substance abuse among teenagers, describing it as a disease requiring timely intervention. He shared real-life incidents highlighting its physical, mental, social, and economic impact on families. Practical remedies to quit smoking, chewing tobacco, and alcohol were also shared with the students.

Active Participation:
Students including Yamini Dangi, Mahima Dangi, Mansi Mali, Khushi Yadav, Bhumika Gameti, Chanchal Nath, Nandini Shaktawat, Harshita Jingar, Anjali Rajput, Janvi Tailor, Nidhi Nagarchi, and Kriti Mali took the oath as Water Monitors.

Event Highlights:
The program was organized under the leadership of Principal Mrs. Preeti Sharma, who welcomed Dr. Jain. Teachers Mrs. Abhilasha Tank and Devangi Dadhich assisted during the event, while Mrs. Meena Sachdev and Mrs. Ragini Solanki actively participated.
