Preparations Underway for 76th Republic Day Celebrations

 

Jaipur/Udaipur, 07 January: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has announced that the 76th Republic Day state-level ceremony will be celebrated with grandeur and traditional fervor, just like every year. This year, the event will take place in Udaipur, the city of lakes. He urged all departments to fulfill their assigned responsibilities with coordination to ensure the event’s success.

The Chief Minister, addressing a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister's residence on Tuesday, emphasized the inclusion of programs reflecting the spirit of nationalism. He also stressed ensuring maximum public participation in the event.

Shri Sharma instructed officials to decorate all major buildings, landmarks, and government offices in Jaipur and Udaipur attractively for Republic Day. He directed proper arrangements for invitations, transportation, accommodation, and meals for the guests attending the ceremony. Special attention was given to the At Home programs scheduled at Raj Bhavan in Jaipur and Saheliyon Ki Bari in Udaipur.

He emphasized timely completion of seating arrangements, drinking water facilities, medical teams, security measures, barricading, and traffic management at the event venue. Coordination among police, education, public works, and information departments was deemed essential for organizing performances by school children, folk artists, and the awards distribution program. The Chief Minister also stressed robust security arrangements at all locations.

Secretary of General Administration Department Shri Joga Ram presented the framework for the preparations through a presentation.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Shri Sudhansh Pant, DGP Shri U.R. Sahu, ACS (CM Office) Shri Shikhar Agarwal, ACS Home Shri Anand Kumar, ACS Public Works Shri Praveen Gupta, Principal Secretary (CM Office) Shri Alok Gupta, and senior officials from education, tourism, information, and Jaipur district administration. Udaipur divisional commissioner Ms. Pragya Kevalramani, IG Rajesh Meena, District Collector Arvind Poswal, and SP Yogesh Goyal joined via video conferencing.
