Fatehnagar Railway Station to Undergo Transformation,

*Udaipur, February 26*: As part of the Amrit Bharat Station project, the Fatehnagar Railway Station in Udaipur district is set to undergo a transformation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the redevelopment and unveiled the foundation stone for the improvement works of 554 railway stations and 1500 railway overbridges and underbridges across the country on Monday. The Fatehnagar station is included in this initiative.

The inauguration ceremony at Fatehnagar saw the participation of District Collector Arvind Poswal and other local representatives. Sharad Purohit, Station Director of Udaipur City Station, informed that a total of 21 stations, including Fatehnagar, have been selected from Rajasthan under the Amrit Bharat Station scheme. The virtual ceremony, including the Prime Minister's program, was broadcasted live.

In attendance were District Collector Arvind Poswal, MLA Mavli Pushkar Lal Dangi, Former Legislative Assembly President Shantilal Chaplot, Chairperson of Fatehnagar Municipality Manjulata Devi, social worker Chandragupta Singh, and other dignitaries. Senior officials from the railways, including Sandeep Dhingra, Mandal Engineering Officer, welcomed the guests.

Purohit explained that the redevelopment of Fatehnagar station, as part of the Amrit Bharat Station project, would cost around 18.50 crores. The upgraded station will feature facilities such as a roof plaza, shopping zone, food court, and a children's play area. Various amenities, including separate entry and exit gates, multilevel parking, lifts, escalators, lounges, waiting rooms, and accessible facilities for differently-abled individuals, will also be developed.
