UdaipurThe Minister in charge of Udaipur district and Revenue & Colonization Minister, Shri Hemant Meena, emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is dedicated to the upliftment of every section of society. He stated that the 2025-26 budget includes provisions for youth, farmers, laborers, and women. It is the collective responsibility of all officials to work in coordination and ensure that government schemes and announcements reach the underprivileged on time.
Minister Meena was addressing a review meeting on the implementation of the 2025-26 budget at the Zila Parishad auditorium, held as per the Chief Minister’s directives, in the presence of Secretary-in-charge T. Ravikant. He emphasized that the Chief Minister has made it clear that there should be no delays in implementing budget announcements. Therefore, despite Sunday being a holiday, ministers and secretaries have been deployed across districts to conduct review meetings. The government is fully committed to delivering the benefits of its schemes promptly to the public.
Secretary-in-charge, T. Ravikant, urged officials to work in close coordination, as lack of coordination often leads to delays in project completion. He directed District Collector Namit Mehta to prepare a timeline sheet for all budget-related announcements in Udaipur, including key details such as proposals, land allocation, tenders, and work orders. He also instructed regular monitoring of projects as per the timeline sheet. The administration was further directed to ensure active participation in land allocation cases, conduct site visits, and coordinate with local representatives for swift resolution.
Focus on Night Tourism & Tourism Circuit Expansion
Designated Café Areas for Night Tourism
The state budget includes a provision to promote night tourism in Udaipur. During the meeting, City MLA Tarachand Jain highlighted the longstanding issue of food availability for tourists at night. He mentioned that previous efforts to establish cafés at the Roadways Complex were unsuccessful. In response, the District Collector was directed to coordinate with the UDA, Municipal Corporation, Smart City, and Tourism Department to identify suitable locations for night tourism development and café areas.
Inclusion of Devsomnath & Sheetlamata in the Tourism Circuit
MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat suggested including the Devsomnath Temple in Dungarpur and the Sheetlamata site in the tribal tourism circuit announced in the budget, as both locations hold significant religious importance.
Completion of Pending Budget Announcements
Public representatives raised concerns over certain projects announced in previous budgets that are yet to commence. Minister Meena and Secretary Ravikant took the matter seriously and directed the District Collector to identify such projects and ensure their implementation at the earliest.
Emphasis on Health Sector Developments
Secretary Ravikant underscored the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare services, emphasizing that budget announcements related to the health sector must be executed on priority to provide timely benefits to the public.

Transparent Recruitment & Youth Empowerment
Addressing a press conference after the review meeting, Minister Meena assured that the government is committed to transparent recruitment processes. He stated that while past recruitment exams faced issues such as paper leaks, the current administration has taken strict measures to prevent such occurrences. Over one lakh vacancies will be filled in upcoming recruitment drives, and he urged youth to focus on their preparations without any apprehensions.
Udaipur’s Budget Benefits Highlighted
Minister Meena outlined major budget allocations for Udaipur, including:
A ₹100 crore Tribal Tourism Circuit, incorporating key religious, cultural, and historical sites, including Rishabhdev.
Water supply improvements to enhance service levels, reduce supply gaps, and stabilize pressure.
Establishment of an Institute of Mines in Udaipur.
Infrastructure enhancements, including a ₹16 crore road project from Bharodi to Bhanasol NH via Chhoti Kheri and Moti Kheri (Mavli-Udaipur).
Road strengthening under the Major District Road scheme, including an 11 km road in Kotda.
The Minister also assured that the Mukhyamantri Shahari Jal Jeevan Mission would provide a long-term solution to the water supply issues in high-rise buildings. Addressing electricity concerns, he reaffirmed that the 100-unit free electricity scheme will continue.
