Values and Ethics Enable Individuals to Play a Strong Role in Society: Prof. Sarangdev

Udaipur, An individual nurtured with the values of limited familyism holds a significant place in society. If a person develops the right understanding, complete harmony of cooperation, reverence, and dedication can be established in society. Based on this vision, the third-day sessions of the AICTE-approved Faculty Development Program on 'Universal Human Values-Based Education' concluded at the Faculty of Management Studies, Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University).

Renowned environmentalist and "Waterman of India" Rajendra Singh, the chief speaker of the ceremony, stated that the most powerful path to refining the qualities of students lies with teachers. He emphasized that reinstating human values and reviving Indian knowledge in its true essence should be the fundamental goal of today’s education system. Coordination of knowledge and wisdom naturally leads to the development of values and ethics. Highlighting the teacher’s crucial role in innovation and commitment, he stressed that implementing creative ideas in the right direction is the need of the hour.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot, in his presidential address, stated that "morning assessment," meaning starting the day with introspection and seriousness, is essential. Affection, reverence, and trust form the backbone of relationships, and it is the teacher’s duty to recognize the nature of knowledge while maintaining a spirit of continuous learning. He said that the expansion of the consciousness of knowledge is the true responsibility of a teacher, and such programs become strong mediums for learning.

Representing AICTE, Dr. B.K. Sharma from RIET Jaipur, through various sessions, pointed out that despite the abundance of resources, their imbalance and misuse in today’s world are grave concerns. He stressed, "The feeling of self-restraint is crucial because only then can an individual understand their responsibilities."

Dr. Alka Swami from Bikaner Technical University underlined the role of trust in relationships. She said, "The foundation of every relationship lies in trust, which is the root of love." She also emphasized the necessity of natural acceptance, pure intentions, and desires aligned with the nation's spirit for a person’s internal growth.
Observer Dr. Saroj Lakhawat also shared her insights during the event.

The program was coordinated by Dr. Chandresh Chhatlani. On this occasion, Anita Sukhwal from Kota University and Dr. Heena Khan from Rajasthan Vidyapeeth shared their experiences of the three-day training. They highlighted the need for developing a spirit of restraint and discussed the reasons behind the diminishing values among students today, along with potential solutions.

Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Neeru Rathore, Program Convener from the Faculty of Management Studies.
