Jaisalmer . On the occasion of the 134th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, District Collector Pratap Singh paid tribute and urged everyone to draw inspiration from the great values of Dr. Ambedkar’s life. Describing Baba Saheb as the messiah of the poor, marginalized, and oppressed, he emphasized Ambedkar’s three core teachings—get educated, stay united, and struggle in life.

Addressing the Ambedkar Jayanti celebration held at the Social Welfare Hostel in Fatehgarh under the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, the Collector initiated the program by lighting the ceremonial lamp and garlanding the portrait of Dr. Ambedkar. He advised students to pursue quality education and follow the path shown by Baba Saheb to build a better future.

Tehsildar Nakhat Singh, Bhawani Singh Charan, and other departmental officials were present on the occasion.

After the program, the Collector inspected the Social Welfare Hostel in Fatehgarh, reviewed the arrangements, and instructed officials to provide students with quality food, clean drinking water, regular health check-ups, and other necessary amenities. He also emphasized improving cleanliness and overall management of the hostel.

During the inspection, he interacted with the students and offered them valuable guidance. He reviewed the ongoing construction work at the hostel and directed officials to ensure timely and quality completion. The Collector encouraged students to study diligently and fulfill their parents’ dreams by progressing in life.
