Udaipur – During the Lok Sabha discussion on the Union Budget 2025-26, Udaipur MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat described it as a visionary budget and a crucial step towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat 2047 goal. He emphasized that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has crafted a well-planned strategy, considering past governance challenges and India's global positioning.

Dr. Rawat explained the budget using the acronym "VIKSIT":

  • V (Vikas - Development) – Ensuring holistic growth under Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.
  • I (Industrial Development) – Strengthening MSMEs, startups, and manufacturing.
  • K (Kisan-Krishi - Farmers & Agriculture) – Increased support through credit and organic farming incentives.
  • S (Social Security) – Expansion of healthcare and tribal welfare programs.
  • I (Income Tax & Infrastructure) – Tax relief up to ₹12 lakh and major investments.
  • T (Technology & Research) – AI, nuclear energy, and innovation-driven policies.

He stated that this budget is just a trailer, and the government will continue its Reform, Perform, and Transform approach to achieve Viksit Bharat 2047.

Tribal Development Given Special Emphasis

Dr. Rawat appreciated Prime Minister Modi for appointing a tribal President and declaring November 15 as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. He highlighted the government’s commitment to tribal welfare, including the ₹24,000 crore PM Janman Yojana and the ₹80,000 crore Dhartia Aaba Janjatiya Unnat Gram Abhiyan.

Concerns Over Law and Order in Rajasthan

Dr. Rawat raised concerns about rising instability in Rajasthan’s tribal areas, alleging efforts to dismantle tribal culture through conversions and separatist ideologies. He urged the government to take strict action against fundamentalist forces disrupting peace and development.
