Bilal is an inspiring story set 1,400 years ago, depicting the fight against idol worship and the unwavering belief in one God. Living peacefully with his mother and sister Ghufaira, Bilal's world turns upside down when Byzantine soldiers capture them and kill his mother.

Sold into slavery under Ummayah, a wealthy leader of Mecca, Bilal endures extreme hardship but never loses hope. He rescues his sister from cruelty and wins the admiration of Abu Bakr, a man who believes in equality. Over time, Bilal realizes that true strength lies in faith, breaking free from the shackles of slavery and standing against injustice.

Under Abu Bakr's protection, Bilal gains his freedom and trains with Hamza in swordsmanship. When his sister's life is threatened, he returns to Mecca and defeats Ummayah.

The film is based on the life of Bilal, the first person to call for prayer (Adhan) in Islam. Surprisingly, the movie never mentions Prophet Muhammad or the word ‘Muslim’, instead focusing on unity, peace, and humanity.

‘Bilal’ is Dubai’s first animated feature film, beautifully crafted with top-tier visuals and an inspiring message. If you are Muslim, the film will evoke deep emotions; if you are not, it will offer a fresh perspective on an incredible historical figure.
