Rahul B Kumar: From 'Love is Forever' to a Power-Packed Action Avatar

: How has the audience responded to your film 'Love is Forever'?
A: The film has received a fantastic response. It was initially released on January 10 in 241 theaters and later expanded to 25 more theaters on January 17. On January 24, it is set to release across Nepal. Audiences are still coming to theaters to watch the movie.

Q: Tell us about your family background.
A: I was born on March 15, 1987, in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. My father, Babu Ram Prajapati, was a businessman and had strong connections with some of Bollywood's top producers. After completing my studies, I ventured into various businesses, including hotels, carpets, construction, and finance. I even own airlines now. However, after the unfortunate demise of my father and younger brother, I decided to pursue a career in films.

Q: What inspired you to enter the film industry?
A: I realized that films have the power to make a person immortal. Great individuals like Ratan Tata are remembered, but films leave a visual legacy, ensuring that a person is remembered for generations.

Q: Which was your first film?
A: My first film was a Telugu movie titled 'Akhila,' based on a real-life incident. After that, I worked on 'Juari' and collaborated with Ravi Teja. I also appeared in several music videos during this time.

Q: Why did you start your career in the South Indian film industry instead of Bollywood?
A: I have always been a huge fan of NTR and was inspired by his work. The South Indian industry is known for giving opportunities to new talent and showcasing them effectively. I met director C. Mohan Rao during a visit to Hyderabad, and that’s where my journey began.

Q: What do you find special about the South Indian film industry?
A: The South industry excels in nurturing new talent and presenting them brilliantly in their films. They know how to polish raw talent. In comparison, my initial attempts in Bollywood didn’t yield much success, as I often encountered untrustworthy individuals.

Q: How do you see your future in Bollywood?
A: My focus is now on Bollywood. After 'Love is Forever,' I am gearing up for a major project, 'Daniel,' featuring Chunky Panday, Prateik Babbar, and Mahesh Manjrekar in significant roles. It’s an action-packed film, and my look in it will be quite different.

Q: Can you share details about your upcoming films?
A: I recently wrapped up shooting for Reliance's film 'Jackie Bhai,' in which I play the lead role alongside Chunky Panday and Mimoh Chakraborty. Several other projects are also in discussion.
