Cervical Cancer Awareness Week 2025 Organized at Geetanjali College and School of Nursing, Udaipur

The Gynecology Nursing Department of Geetanjali College and School of Nursing, Udaipur, organized the Cervical Cancer Awareness Week 2025. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Dean, Professor (Dr.) Vijaya Ajmera, in front of Goddess Saraswati. The program witnessed the presence of Professor (Dr.) Yogeshwar Puri Goswami, Principal Professor Dinesh Kumar Sharma, Administrative Officer Kamlesh Joshi, department heads, faculty members, and students.

As part of the event, a quiz and poster competition were conducted. Under the Community Awareness Program, a street play and health education session focusing on cervical cancer awareness and early detection were performed at the Anganwadi Center in Roshan Nagar, Savina. More than 50 women actively participated in this session.

On the third day, a National Webinar titled "Together Against Cervical Cancer: Awareness, Prevention, and Early Detection" was organized, with over 200 participants. The webinar included expert sessions delivered by Dr. Ramesh Purohit, Senior Consultant, Oncology Department, Geetanjali Hospital, Udaipur; Dean Dr. Vijaya Ajmera; Associate Professor Brisy Babu; Assistant Professor Angel Alina Varghese; and Lecturers Divya Choudhary, Sheetal Swarnkar, and Vikas Kushwaha.

Additionally, a poster exhibition and health education session were held at the Gynecology OPD of Geetanjali Hospital, Udaipur.

The event concluded with a closing ceremony where winners were felicitated. In the quiz competition, the first prize was awarded to Kalpesh Prajapat, Jayashree Choudhary, Radhe Gulab Ojha, and Anchal Patel from the 4th year B.Sc. Nursing. In the poster competition, Revati Seervi secured the first position, followed by Lakshita Sonigra in second place.

The event was successfully conducted by the Gynecology Nursing Department of Geetanjali College and School of Nursing.
