Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, The Academic Council meeting of Vikrant University Gwalior was successfully held under the chairmanship of Prof. Amarika Singh, Vice Chancellor. Important decisions regarding the academic and administrative development of the university were taken during the meeting.
The meeting saw the participation of distinguished members, including the Chancellor of Vikrant University, Mr. Nitin Singh Tomar, and Mr. Vikrant Singh Rathore, Dr. Pankaj Nafde (appointed member by the Madhya Pradesh Private University Regulatory Commission, Bhopal), Mr. Avinash Mishra (Former Vice President, Godrej Industries), Dr. Inder Singh Tomar, Prof. PS Chauhan (Pro Vice Chancellor), and Registrar Richa Verma. They presented valuable suggestions in line with the higher education regulatory framework.
The key focus of the meeting was the academic direction for the upcoming session 2025-26. Discussions included the introduction of new courses, the integration of the New Education Policy, and incorporating Indian knowledge traditions into the curriculum.

Introduction of New Courses: A decision was made to introduce new courses in the upcoming academic session to offer better training in alignment with industry requirements and modern education trends.
Implementation of the New Education Policy: The process of implementing the New Education Policy at the university will begin soon. This includes the incorporation of Indian knowledge traditions in the curriculum to provide students with a deeper connection to their cultural heritage.
Formation of the Sports Board: The university decided to form a Sports Board with the objective of offering better opportunities for students in sports. A policy was passed to grant free admission to outstanding athletes who have won or participated in national and international competitions.
Vikrant Ratna Award: The university also decided to honor its best student with the ‘Vikrant Ratna’ award, recognizing academic excellence and social contributions. The awardee will also be appointed as the Acting Chancellor for a day, offering a unique leadership experience to students and faculty.
