Udaipur, In line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of 'Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat,' Udaipur's cyclists Akbar Ali Bandukwala and Rishabh Jain reached Udaipur after completing a 1447 km journey from India Gate in New Delhi to Gateway of India in Mumbai. The cyclists began their journey on Monday and were warmly welcomed by Udaipur residents at the DPS School campus.
A grand welcome ceremony was held at the DPS School auditorium, where social worker Govind Agarwal, ADM Deependra Singh, renowned architect Sunil S. Ladda, and many other distinguished city residents and members of the Dawoodi Bohra community joined to honor Akbar Ali Bandukwala and Rishabh Jain. During the event, the cyclists expressed their gratitude for the immense love they received in Udaipur and answered questions from school students. They shared details about their journey, which was initiated to spread Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cleanliness message, as well as promoting the 'Fit India' initiative.
The event was attended by DPS Principal Sanjay Narwaria, Vice-Principal Rajesh Dhabai, members of the Udaipur Cycling Club, and a large number of local residents and students.
Akbar Ali mentioned that both cyclists will depart from Kherwada on 23 January and head to Nadiad. The 1447 km journey is set to conclude on 26 January at the Gateway of India in Mumbai.
