Udaipur, A tribute assembly and seminar were organized on Saturday in the auditorium of Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be University) to celebrate the 118th birth anniversary of the visionary scientist Dr. D.S. Kothari. The event was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Colonel Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot, who emphasized that the foundation of every educational policy in the country lies in the principles set forth by Dr. Kothari. He remarked that had Dr. Kothari's policies been implemented in a timely manner, the nation would have reached even greater heights today. Dr. Kothari, who was a true visionary, provided plans that are still significant in the current era. His advocacy for the mother tongue and the three-language formula sowed the seeds of social competence, unity, and equality, enabling students to develop their inherent capabilities.
Prof. Sarangdevot highlighted that Dr. D.S. Kothari's contributions in the fields of education and defense have been monumental for a developing India. He noted that when faced with the national defense challenge, Dr. Kothari utilized his expertise in astrophysics to invent a weapon that proved instrumental during the India-Pakistan war, enabling the Indian army to destroy Pakistan's Patton tanks.
Prominent attendees including Kul {ramukh Bhanwar Lal Gurjar, Peeth Sthavir Dr. Kaushal Nagda, Controller of Examinations Dr. Paras Jain, Dr. Bhawani Pal Singh Rathore, Dr. Chandresh Chhatlani, Private Secretary K.K. Kumawat, Jitendra Singh, Dr. Hemant Sahu, Laharnath, Dr. Yagya Ameta, Bhagwati Lal Shrimali, Vijayalakshmi Soni, Vikas, and Dr. Lalit, among other staff members, paid floral tributes to Dr. Kothari's portrait, honoring his legacy.
