Udaipur, To accelerate industrial development in Udaipur, a meeting of the Industrial Dispute & Grievance Redressal Mechanism was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of District Collector Namit Mehta. The meeting, held in the mini auditorium of the District Collectorate, brought together administrative officials and representatives of various industrial associations to discuss creating a business-friendly environment and ensuring the overall growth of existing industrial units.
Representatives from Udaipur Chamber of Commerce, Laghu Bharati Udyog, Udaipur Marble Association, and Chemical Manufacturers Association were present at the meeting. They highlighted key challenges faced by their industries and shared valuable suggestions. The District Collector carefully listened to their concerns and directed the relevant officials to take necessary actions.
Focus on Resolving Industrial Issues
During the meeting, the District Collector reviewed the progress of issues raised in previous meetings. Udaipur Chamber of Commerce President M.L. Lunawat had earlier requested the installation of GSS (Grid Substations) in Sukher, Gudli, and Kaldwas (Extension). In response, AVVNL officials informed that GSS work has been completed in Sukher and Gudli, while work in Kaldwas (Extension) is in progress.
Additionally, the Udaipur Marble Processors Association raised concerns regarding unannounced power cuts affecting industries. The District Collector instructed officials that electricity supply to industrial areas should not be disrupted without prior notice. If necessary, industries should be informed at least two days in advance, and power cuts should follow a scheduled plan.
Other key topics discussed included road repairs in Madri Industrial Area, construction of a railway overbridge in Mewar Industrial Area, repairs on the Sukher-Bedla Link Road, and water drainage solutions in Bedwas. The District Collector issued directives for the prompt resolution of these matters.
Review of Investment MoUs Signed During Rising Rajasthan Summit
The meeting also focused on reviewing the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed during the Rising Rajasthan District-Level Investors Summit. General Manager of DIC, Shailendra Sharma, reported that 569 MoUs have been signed so far, with 196 of them related to the tourism sector.
The District Collector instructed officials to regularly monitor the Raj Nivesh portal and ensure timely progress of category-wise MoUs. He emphasized that MoU holders with their own land should be assisted in completing the remaining formalities to expedite industrial investments.
