107th Annual International Conference of IEA Inaugurated

Jaipur,The 107th Annual International Conference of the Indian Economic Association (IEA) was inaugurated at Apex University, Jaipur. The event commenced with a tribute to the former Prime Minister and globally renowned economist, Dr. Manmohan Singh, in recognition of his invaluable contributions to the field of economics.


 

Chief Guest Address on India's Economic Challenges

The conference witnessed the presence of Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy, former Secretary of the Department of Defence Research and Development and ex-Chairman of DRDO, as the chief guest. Dr. Reddy shared insights into the opportunities and challenges facing the Indian economy, emphasizing technological advancements and innovation.

Welcome Address by Prof. Amarika Singh

Prof. Amarika Singh, Chairman of the Apex Body of the Indian Economic Association and Vice-Chancellor of Vikrant University, Gwalior, delivered the welcome address. He highlighted the pivotal role of the IEA in shaping economic discourse and thanked participants for their enthusiastic involvement.

Spiritual Insights from Brahma Kumaris

Prominent guests included Rajyogini Sushma Didi and sisters from the Brahma Kumaris, Jaipur. They discussed the intersection of mental peace and spirituality with India's social and economic progress, drawing attention to the human aspect of economic policies.

Dr. Charan Singh, CEO and Founder Director of EGROW Foundation, and Dr. Ashutosh Pant, an education and skill development expert, delivered keynote speeches. They emphasized the role of education, skill development, and innovation in economic reforms, tying these aspects to India's National Education Policy.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Prof. Anil Kumar Rai, Vice-Chancellor of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University, Rajasthan, and Dr. Anant Narayan Bhatt, senior scientist at DRDO. Both highlighted the synergy between academic research and economic policy.
