Mobile Legal Awareness Vehicle Flagged Off to Promote Legal Literacy in Common People

As per the directives of the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, Jaipur, a mobile legal services vehicle was flagged off by Hon'ble Mr. Omi Purohit, District and Sessions Judge, Pratapgarh, with the aim of enhancing legal awareness among the public.

In his address, Mr. Kedarnath, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (Additional District and Sessions Judge), Pratapgarh, informed that the mobile vehicle would operate in the Pratapgarh jurisdiction from November 11, 2024, to December 2, 2024. During this period, the vehicle will visit all the Gram Panchayat headquarters across the district's various tehsil areas. Legal awareness camps will be organized through the panel lawyers and para-legal volunteers working in the district, as per a scheduled route plan.

Through these camps, the public will be informed about various legal provisions in the local language, as well as government welfare schemes being run by both the central and state governments. The sessions will provide general legal education and foster legal literacy among the citizens. Panel lawyers and para-legal volunteers will accompany the vehicle and conduct these awareness sessions on specific days as per the route chart.

The event was also attended by Hon'ble Mr. Prabhat Agarwal, Judge, POCSO Court, Pratapgarh, Hon'ble Mr. Yogesh Chandra Yadav, Judge, SC/ST Court, Pratapgarh, Mrs. Ramkanya Soni, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Pratapgarh, and Mr. Harish Bathi, Chief, Legal and Defense Council, Pratapgarh, among other dignitaries.
