Doctors Premier League (DPL) Season 1: Cure Captains Emerge Victorious

Udaipur, The inaugural season of the Doctors Premier League (DPL) concluded in spectacular fashion at the Dugout Ground. Organized by the Department of Pharmacy Practice, the tournament was supported by sponsors including Rajasthan Medical Store, Motabhai Kitchen, Jagriti Herbs, Jyoti Store, and Decathlon.

In a thrilling mega auction, 60 players were distributed among six teams, competing fiercely over two days. The participating teams and their captains were:

Wellness Warriors (Dr. Bhaktraj Singh)

Health Heroes (Dr. J.S. Vaghela and Dr. Vanshika Vyas)

Drug Dealers (Dr. Rishi Maheshwari)

Pharma Tigers (Dr. K.S. Rathore, Dr. Harshita Kalal, and Dr. Drishti Chauhan)

Cure Captains (Dr. H.S. Udawat)

Remedy Kings (Dr. Hitesh Kothari).

Under the guidance of Dr. Y.S. Sarangdevot and Dr. M.S. Ranawat, the tournament was meticulously executed, with organizing committee members Jayant Salvi, Mehul Jain, and Priyanshu Vijayvargiya playing pivotal roles. The social media responsibilities were expertly handled by Shivam Soni, Rudraksh Sharma, Chirag Somani, and Jayesh Singhvi.

The event began with vibrant anchoring by Meetakshi Saraf and Mitali Jain, followed by the national anthem and the formal inauguration with a warm welcome to sponsors.

Match Highlights

On the first day, Pharma Tigers faced Wellness Warriors, with the latter clinching victory. By the end of Day 1, Pharma Tigers and Remedy Kings were eliminated.

Day 2 featured both semifinals and the final:

In the first semifinal, Cure Captains triumphed over Health Heroes.

The second semifinal saw Wellness Warriors defeat Drug Dealers to secure their place in the final.

The final match was a high-stakes showdown. Batting first, Cure Captains scored 119 runs in 10 overs, powered by an explosive 56-run innings off 28 balls by Deepak Patidar. In response, Wellness Warriors were bowled out for 68 runs, giving Cure Captains a commanding 50-run victory.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Dr. Y.S. Sarangdevot, Dr. M.S. Ranawat, Dr. K.S. Rathore, and Dr. J.S. Vaghela, who honored the winners.
